Port Jefferson

The wind was on our nose all day so that meant a close haul at ~6 knots...zig zagging our way for about 7 hours.  The breeze was very comfortable...even cool enough for a long sleeved shirt!  We sure don't miss the heat and humidity of back home.

Port Jeff has an industrial look and it's the port for the ferry from Bridgeport, CT.  We were misled about our accomodations tonight.  We were in search of slip so we could recharge the batteries and take on fresh water, but discovered only moorings are available.  Oh well!

Tomorrow off to Southampton for the day and then on Saturday we hope to rendezvous with our friends aboard Bottlenose.  They just arrived on Block Island after a few days at sea.
