Bonfire on the Tartan

Our neighbors and friends, Debbie and Tony, hosted a bonfire last weekend.  They cleared their newly acquired lot of yard debris and had an enormous pile to burn.  Here is Tony lighting the fire.  He was well equipped with an extra long garden hose just in case!

It was the first day and certainly night that we could escape the confines of our winter caves.  The temperature was just right and the wind was light.  Our hosts treated us to grapefruit margaritas, tasty chili and s'mores.  What a delightful evening.  We all hope it becomes an annual event!
