While in Quebec we had virtually no cell service and very little access to the internet. We are catching up on our blog posts now that we're back in the U.S.A. Forillion National Park was beautiful but very remote which made it extra special. As we left the park we headed west along the northern coast. The roads improved and there were fewer towns so it was possible to cover more ground. As we got closer to Quebec City, the landscape changed from steep rocky bluffs to low and wide plains reaching out to the St. Lawrence River. We drove almost 500 miles entirely along the coast -- where else on earth is that possible?
Our assessment of traveling through Quebec was that going by RV is definitely the way to go. There were few hotels and the ones we spotted did not grab out attention so we were very, very happy to have the comforts of MerSea 2 to enjoy each evening. We also noted the large number of RVs on the road most of which had Quebec plates so the locals must share the same sentiment. We were surprised how few vehicles we saw with US plates. Often we were the only Americans in the campsite. Even the locals thought we were from Ontario until they saw our license plates.
