Our first stop in Florida is Wekiwa Hot Springs which is located about 10 miles northeast of Orlando. It is a state park tucked in among nice suburban neighborhoods. It boasts a hot springs and miles of hiking trails. The springs look extra inviting despite the warning sign ... "swim at your own risk...alligators in the vicinity." I may give it a try but Lance says "no way!"
Our campsite (which I mistakenly keep referring to as our slip) required backing in due to construction, but otherwise is perfectly fine. It is quiet and there is lots of space between the sites so we have a little slice of nature all to ourselves.
