Yesterday we visited Bahia Honda which is rated as one of Florida's top state parks. The park offers waterfront campsites (both on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts) but these sites apparently are very hard to come by and require reservations 11 months in advance. So we were day trippers...enjoyed our picnic lunch in the pavilion overlooking the beach...snorkled in the clear shallow water...and walked the nature trails.
It is Sunday morning and another beautiful and breezy day in the Keys. Later this morning we head to Key West to check out the scene. Something tells me this is going to be an adventure on to its own! Stay tuned...
