The highlight of our 5 day tour of the Keys was an overnight visit with friends from our sailing club. Jane and Harry have rented a great house on Islamorada complete with a dock for their Carolina Skiff. Pat and Bruce, also sailing club friends and neighbors, were visiting Jane and Harry so it was a double bonus to see everyone. Harry is an avid fisherman who knows the local waters very well. He treated all of us, including Fin, to a creek cruise through Port Antigua. It was fun to see all the beautiful houses along the canal and then the wide open Florida Bay.
Later in the evening we dined on a wonderful meal of cuban roast pork with beans & rice. And then overnighted in the Wells's driveway which turned out to be the best RV spot in the entire Keys!
Given that all six of us are Typhoon sailors, the evening would not have been complete with out a lively discussion speculating on "what is the Mihills team's secret for going so fast!"
Thanks Jane, Harry, Pat and Bruce for a fun visit. Enjoy the rest of your time in the Keys and we'll look forward to seeing you back in Irvington when the Osprey come back to nest.
