After our excursion to the Keys, we headed back to the southwest coast. Our RV was too large for the remaining campsites at Collier-Seminole State Park so we went in search of a a commercial rv park in Naples. The first site we called told us our rv was "too small" for the park -- that park accommodated only the behemoth rvs -- the Class A models the size of a greyhound bus. We ended up at a small rv park nestled among live oak trees but still packed in like sardines.
Then we headed back to Sanibel to visit Stephanie's mom, Memere. We got our fill of two of our favorite spots, Doc Fords and the Lazy Flamingo, during our brief visit. We were very tempted to stay a few more days...but the road beckoned...time to continue our journey through Florida.
