Day 44 - Mile 8,318: Home at Last

After 44 days on the road, 8,318 miles under our tires and 19 states visited we are finally home.

We left Bristol, VA this morning and passed through the Blue Ridge mountains.

We arrived on the Northern Neck just as the Fall series of the Wednesday races got underway.  We could count the boats from the Norris bridge.

As Dorothy said "there's no place like home".  Although we visited some very nice places, there wasn't a single place that made us say "let's move" (with one caveat... Lake Tahoe was particularly appealing...but the bear nose prints on the first floor windows of our friends' house told us it wasn't the ideal spot for Mr. Fin!).

This trip wraps up our final big adventure in our RV...time to shift gears and get back to cruising MerSea I.
